Tapestry 'Archangel Raphael and Saint Roch' s. XVIII
French tapestry from the 19th century. XVIII, which represents "The visit of Archangel Raphael to San Roque." Raphael means: "Divine healer", "God heals" or "God has arrived".
"Rapha" is his name in Hebrew: doctor, healer, surgeon. Among other reasons, it is assigned the symbol of the healing arts. Symbol of the medical profession with two snakes coiled around the legendary "Caduceus of Mercury", also called "Labbiel".
Measurements: 275 x 285 cm.
Origin: France, s. XVIII.
Condition: Origin guard incorporated. According to its age, it is in very good condition. All restorations are very well done and carried out in Europe.
