Carmen Piemonte: Abstracciones geométricas

Carmen Piemonte Miani, pintora chilena de origen italiano, es reconocida por su participación en el Movimiento Forma y Espacio. Nacida en 1930 en Buia, Chile, fue alumna de Ramón Vergara Grez en la Universidad de Chile y luego profesora de artes plásticas en la misma institución. Su obra destaca por la abstracción geométrica que sugiere formas urbanas y el factor humano. Ha participado en numerosas exposiciones individuales y colectivas, incluyendo la II Muestra Nacional del Movimiento Forma y Espacio en 1965 y la Feria de Lausana en 1970. En 2020, recibió el Premio Artista Mujer por su destacada contribución al arte chileno.
